Yeah it sounds better than fdd lol
That sounds like the type of role people leave FDD for. Why would you want to make the jump back?
Similar to most, I’m looking for a job that adds value to clients and a position that allows for more problem solving with more logic of the business operations. I’ve met with several people from the practice and have seen workpapers.
With that experience you could easily jump to healthcare fdd. My experience is those teams are always looking for people with really good understandings of payor processes and you see a lot of people on those teams with a little industry experience
This sounds like a great role. This is something people in FDD or banking would exit for. While some might look down on the fact your tied in to the operational finance side - I think it’s great since it keeps doors open for you down the road with your career.
The deals world is in for a rough go the next year or two. The bright spots include healthcare and technology.
EVEN IF you wind up in an FDD group by next summer you will not be as utilized as FDD was just 9 months ago. It’s way more stop and go right now - and it’s that way even in the good times. I’m just trying to say the experience in FDD the next two years will be rocky because of the environment.
People in banking leave for everything under the sun, including pure play FP&A roles.
What role are you in right now?
Unfortunately with COVID deals slowed down and existing staff weren’t left with much to do - not surprised they aren’t hiring.
Sounds like this role is more a combo of corporate development/FP&A, which is great experience but more so about the overall deal process and less the TAS specific role in the process if that’s what you ultimately want to do.
