Absolutely! Building self-confidence is crucial for young leaders, and workshops like these can be a fun and impactful way to invest in their development. Creating an environment where they can learn to trust their instincts and embrace their unique strengths sounds like a win to me. Plus, it's always great to see team members grow both personally and professionally.
I personally love these but know from my tenure in learning & development that you will find some who choose not to participate finding it “woo-ey” and “too fluffy.” The pieces I would add are the simulated scenarios to take them through intrapersonal challenges they may have to face as a leader like providing negative feedback. We often don’t teach how to manage others or how to do a lot of the tasks required of being management so I think it’s important to find ways to incorporate those at appropriate times.
Good points and also frustrating. One of my big messages as a leader, mentor, and consultant: how you feel internally and those related stressors play a big part in how you process information and even quality of work.
I’d add in how to network and branding. These are both empowering activities and will serve them well.
