I had to troll
I was at 196k the year before I made partner- I was a 6th year SM. Northeast/Boston.
Don’t stay in Public just to get 200k lol
I mean, I’m a new manager and i wouldn’t have crossed 100k if it weren’t for my bonus
@EY 4 that’s amazing! Did you come in with a JD? Or does ITS pay significantly higher than regular tax?
Everyone does realize that most people in PA will end up making ~100k within 5-7 years of starting your career, and it goes up from there as you get more experience. New SM probably make ~110-140k depending on the area and experienced SM on the verge of making partner likely will be in the ~180-220k range (say another 5-7 years). So say you start at age 22, you would be 27-29 making 100k and 32-36 making close to 200k (if not at or above). My point is there is a lot of "PA sucks" sentiment on FB, but from a monetary perspective it is a pretty damn good career option given the earning potential vs the educational requirement (4 year plus masters).
12, NYC
uh. I don’t ever expect to hit 200k base salary unless i stay for partner.
Shit I’ll stay in public for 200k

Is there a SM PPED bowl?
You won’t get much higher than that at the SM level.
I️ honestly thought the ceiling before making partner is 250k

Ey1 is that audit or other service line?
Just made Manager 1 in NYC at 115k, presuming 5 more years to double salary that would be approximately 9 years to 200k. NYC.
