I got a remote L6 SWE offer at Google but the RSUs are too low for that level ($625k over 4 years), could not negotiate it higher. I’ve accepted the offer but trying to be hopeful that I could make it more equitable in the future if I perform well. Are stock refreshers based on the initial RSU grant or solely based on performance? Google

Check out Syrahs and Malbecs for a fuller bodied, spicier experience. That’s my go to as a whiskey drinker!
My favorite for bolder, hotter wine is a Priorat. Spanish blend with a lot of flavor and look for the ones between 15-16%. They’re pretty common at a store with a broader wine selection but am happy to recommend a few specific labels!
Agree with Bain on this! Also, hubs and I were married in Italy and fell in love with Brunello. We’re both whiskey drinkers, but our Brunello experience was out of this world!!!
Adding this to the list!

I think what you’re going to want is any wine that has a high “bold” to it. You can check it out on a wine chart. But typically these can be Spanish wines as they have more of a spicy nature to them.

There's a couple of cabs that are aged in bourbon barrels, they've been fairly good.
Pro
If something advertises that it is aged in bourbon barrels, run away. This is total recipe winemaking, with color and flavor additives. You are better off drinking flat Dr pepper.
Wines aged or even fermented in American oak might appeal. In Europe that’s mainly going to be Spanish options, and then you can get older wines with complex aromas pretty readily. That can go a long way to giving a pronounced finish. But I would also recommend looking to Australia for high proof wines with American oak character. I think Mollydooker has some wines like the Boxer, that’s American oak barrel-fermented Shiraz, ~16% ABV.
Pro
Look for a châteauneuf du pape, gigondas, or Vacqueyras. Lots of deep complex flavor, and it wears its high abv well.
