I’m officially opting out of applying to any job that uses the word hustle or rockstar in the description. I’ve realized those words are just code for we don't respect your weekends and we expect you to have no hobbies outside of Jira. I want to do great work and then I want to close my laptop and forget this company exists until 9 AM Monday. Are there any quiet companies left that just value steady, 40-hour-a-week productivity?

Absolutely, or the team is a “family” because that just screams no HR boundaries.

40 hour week is considered the bare minimum. Best for complacent employees. High earners usually exceed 40 hours.
You do you....lol

Currently a Solutions Consultant at Pegasystems.

I am interviewing at and considering making a jump to
Oracle as a Specialist Solutions Consultant.

The reason for my move is currently at Pega SCs are treated more as AEs or Account Managers. The role at Oracle would be more of a true SC position. I also feel that Oracle will look BETTER on a resume and someone as young as me would have BETTER programs in place to train me and give me the foundation needed to be a successful SC.

Thoughts?

Considering a Product Owner role. Any best practices of what questions to ask during an interview? First phase deals with a virtual Teams interview with the recruiter and her manager on Tuesday. Excited since this is a hop from a Product Analyst role and entails an offer of over $30,000 from what I'm getting now! This would be a permanent full-time compared to my current contractor role that ends in March.

Quick question.
I was a contractor for a big company and they just let me know that my last day is December 30th. I got this position thanks to a recruiting company that has been great and gives me benefits.
Should I:
- Continue working with the recruiting company, hoping that they will find another position for me? (as they told me they will, and when they applied me I started working with my current company within 2 weeks)
- Work with the recruiter + apply for jobs on my own?
