Why is this important?
If you’re afraid of making a mistake, you become indecisive and make your team really busy digging into data that will make very little difference.
If you’re not humble enough to admit you made a bad call, you will not course correct to save face and cost time, money, lose respect of the people you work with and lead.
If you believe you’re the smartest person in the room, then you lose out on perspective and better ideas, etc.

Whoa. Many lessons in that one!
Lessons in humility come from failures early on, whether it’s in your career, personal life etc. The key is to learn from them, recognise your failures, and try to do better next time.
I think it is just important to be inclusive and I’ve always enjoyed winning as a team. I attribute this to growing up playing team sports. You win some, you lose some. You shake hands at the end and continue the next fight. No one loves losing, but for some of us playing/working is the fun. Meeting great people. Solving interesting problems. Also learned this from my family who are all more naturally gifted then me. I learned that I was okay being the dumbest in a group and actually enjoyed it. I really strive to learn from others. That’s why I love building teams and culture within companies.
