I'm on a small team where another atty & myself share responsibility for assigning workflows week to week. Historically, the assigning attorney would assign matters equally among the team. Lately, the colleague will assign themselves 95% of the work during their week. This leaves me with the decision to continue to assign matters as normal (divvying up between myself and the other colleague) or take 95% of the work during my week. Feels passive-aggressive - or like chess. Mature ways to handle?

Sounds very similar. Any recent change explaining the shift. How do you assign work to yourself or someone else ?

Had some recent departures of more senior attorneys. We basically either grab the matter or punt it to someone else.

Hi! New attorney here. Licensed in January 2021.

I have a seriously hard time working all day. I went straight through, so part of it is probably just that I've never worked in an office before, but I have the hardest time getting in all my hours. Anyone else deal with that fatigue? Or figured out how to conquer it?

I wish I could just work all day but it's not coming naturally to me. I walk, I take breaks.... but it's hard

Is it common to offer signing bonuses for product managers? I've only worked in small companies and I'm currently interviewing at a much larger company. I am expecting an offer this week, but the salary isn't quite where I want it to be. A signing bonus of 5 or 10k would make me feel so much better (obviously) but it would put me right where I want to be for salary this year. I'm taking a cut in salary to consider this new job but I like the company and they actually offer benefits

Just wondering about how is the WLB in HSBC account of Synechron, Pune? I am reading so much of pros and cons on Glassdoor and here. Some are saying the cons like Hire and fire are a FAKE news.

I have the highest offer in hand from Synechron with HSBC client. Please help me make up my mind whether I should join them or not..?

I have another offer with LTI as well but just a marginal difference in pay, and the Location is Mumbai. Should I choose LTI instead?

Please Help!!

Hi new here. Idk what my value is and if I’m getting paid an amount that reflects my hard work. I am a paralegal for a small law firm (family and immigration) w only 1 attorney. I have about 20 files or more in my rotation at a time. I work on various types of cases at once. Some are simple, others are extensive. I feel like it’s very unstructured and one of the managers micromanages. It’s like every man for himself. Take home pay is $50k. I am working on my bachelors deg. Do I get paid enough?

Working at a boutique transactiona firm. First year did not receive much guidance and made a few errors, one of which could have been a deal but ended up being fine but overall I worked hard, billed hours above target and showed a willingness to learn. Three main partners in the group. I feel like I may have been written off by the one partner, still get a fair amount of work from another and the third has never really given work but has a rep for doing things alone or using seniors. I'm in a litigation, about 9 months in. Is it normal that I spend majority of my time making bundles for my partners (printing, binding, moving docs in a different order whenever there are new documents or he wants to add stuff) reviewing documents and making tables (e.g. dates, which documents are from where), and the only legal work is like notices of admission, list of documents, the occasional research? I'm so bored and I want to quit but I don't know if I have unrealistic expectations.
