How many pages is your resume/CV?
PwC 🐠, I interviewed with the firm about 6 months ago for a Senior Associate position on the forensics team. I wasn’t extended an offer because the position was given to an internal transfer, at least what I was told. I tried reaching out to the recruiter I worked with last time but the email bounced back and wouldn’t be delivered. I was hoping to see / reapply if the group still was looking for seniors.
In your opinion, would it be best to reapply as a cold application?
I’ve been trying to get into the top tier Associate Product Marketing Manager position Google for some time now for just an interview and I feel like business majors somehow have such a stronger chance in getting interviewed especially my business school and I feel really discouraged as an Econ Major and I have a lot of marketing experience that I’ve built over the years. Are there any non-business majors in the tech realm in non technical positions at Google that can advise me?

They'll actually respect you more the next time as person who makes calculated decisions.
As much as I'd like to believe this is true it hasn't been my experience, particularly in the PE space

I think it depends on your rationale. In my case, if I didn’t see almost any representation at the senior levels (if at all) of women, I’d seriously consider if that firm was the place for me - especially if I’m on the verge of a promotion at my current firm.
In another vein, if you had a change of circumstances as well (ie. family health issue) or you’re looking to relocate elsewhere and that firm isn’t in that area, you’re potentially committing to 2/3 years with that new firm.
Headhunters ultimately get their cut after 90 days (usually) and having you leave after several months reflects poorly on their placement rates & trust within the firm to find good candidates. I don’t think it’s the end all be all but realize you’re going to probably have burned a bridge there if you don’t drop out early enough.
I think this depends on the recruiter personally. Some might not think too hard about it and some might hold a grudge.
