I wouldn’t wait until the new year as you’d be within 2 weeks at that point. They won’t process anything between 12/24 and 1/2 anyways. I’d say put notice in and set you last day accordingly.
Source: in the resignation process, my last day is 12/23!
There’s no requirement for 2 weeks, just put it in on 1/1 and call it good
If your background check is clear, go for it. ALWAYS include a last date, so they must still pay you if they ask you to leave immediately.
If you’ve submitted your resignation they’ll generally pay you out for two weeks, even if they ask you to wrap up/turn in stuff earlier. Beyond two weeks, not necessarily
Sure why not I’ve given notices a month early
Put it in now if you’re still on a project and end on good terms
Just wait until 1/2. Close enough to the polite 2 weeks of notice. And honestly, no one is really going to be working much rest of the year. Let them enjoy their break without thinking about this.
I’m doing the same but telling them 12/30
