I'm wondering what the reason might be for an employer with less than 20 employees to not consider negotiating a job title when they themselves said they would see you as an "x" but can't change your title from "y". Thank you!

Has anyone here renegotiated their salary after a short time being in a role? I accepted a position and I like what I do but I realize that the workload requires a lot to see success and I feel a bit burned out already with my 40 hours/week and occasional extra 30 minutes to an hour a day.

I am stuck between putting in my time and showing my value and asking for an increase to validate doing so to avoid job hopping after a year or so.

What are some great ways to get into recruiting/ HR? I started my new job completely remotely in June and when we go back to the office, it would be a 1.2 hour, 40-mile one way commute.. Would it be entitled of me to ask to come into the office 3x/week since by the time that we return to the office, I’ve already proven that I can work efficiently from home? I work as a director at the moment. Requested a raise and was told no raise till September then asking one more time for the raise and was turned down. Have teachers with no experience and qualifications getting a raise. Bottom line I’m annoyed and frustrated. By the way owner is using my qualifications to cover two school locations but refuses to raise although I need it. Now I want to leave. Am I overreacting?
