Account manager tends to be the level above account executive
America = AE. England = AM
At my agency they are the same thing, just different ways to say it.
You could definitely say both in English
What other language could it be?
I disagree with SVP2 above, only because I've works in both US and UK and had the opposite experiences at both agencies. The short answer is both use both, but less agencies use AE these days. But I dislike both titles. I think they perpetuate the stereotypical problems with bad account people. I don't have a better title up my sleeve but account folks should all try to be leaders (in the true sense of the word) and ditch diggers, at every level, from top to bottom.
