Multiple parameters were considered. First by Performance Rating. All approaching and need improvement. Second by number of years more than x in same designation. Third by RTO days, bad terms with reporting manager(this is where top performers impacted),
Those low performers who stayed must be the pets of their supervisors
So why were top performers included in the layoff?
Directors prepared the list based on the feedback given by respective managers

When there is a layoff, prior to that ranking will be shared by Managers on the basis of certain criteria. Manager and ADs know about the layoff list within their team. But Director holds the power whether these ADs and senior managers are required or not
