After submitting my resume for the Global Finance and Business Management full time position at JP Morgan (my dream job!), I got a HireVue invite the next day! However, I completed it 9 days ago and still have no response....
When do we get a response in average, and after how much time does it mean I probably am not getting an offer to continue?
Thanks!

I fired myself because I was too good at my job

How many times have I let go of or fired my job? Once - it was the best move personally and professionally.
2.25. Once because my entire department was eliminated. Once because I was on the bench too long. And the .25 is because I was supposed to be fired but had gone in that day to apologize for my attitude and saved myself by being proactive by recognizing my faults (I was 17). Learned more from all of those than I have from any promotion.

Once from an industry job within probation period with a crazy Director that hated me
Got let go from a big 4 in a massive layoff purge the only time I was on the bench in 4 years...
Both sucked as they caught me by surprise...
In the end got some great experience at the next gigs and career wise am doing fine despite the bumps in the road.

The lesson learned is even though you’ve spent 4 years at 130% util, all that matters is what you are producing for the company now... don’t roll off a project if you don’t have a new one lined up..
And sometimes things happen you don’t have a ton of control over.. so focus on what you can control, don’t make the same mistakes twice, and keep looking forward!
Fired once at 18 because I couldn’t put desktop computers together quick enough. Fired 20 years later for getting into argument with my boss. That was the best job I ever had and actually one of the best bosses I ever had. When I picked up my stuff that day, I had a yearly company leadership award in my mail. We were both just stubborn in an argument that should have been nothing.
I did get 6 months severance though.

Wow, you sound wise and mature. Love the way you’ve reflected on the situation. Living and learning , kudos 👏🏻
I got fired as a bouncer. An acquaintance came into the club and he was a *very* big guy who liked to brawl.
The head bouncer said something to the effect of, “I hope he doesn’t start any trouble.”
To which I replied, “If he does I’m not getting in the middle of it.” Because I don’t need to get my face broken for $12/hr.
They let me go the next day. I thought that was fair. It was fine as I was only there for the girls and free booze.
Definitely a crazy place to work as it was mob owned. One of the most fun jobs I’ve ever had.
Never fired. Involuntary severance once because I refused to move for the job when the office moved out of state.
