Interested in a VP role and was a bit shocked by the low base I was told initially but also pleasantly surprised by the high bonus (40-50%).

I’ve checked Glassdoor on comp and the range from $233K to $342K is pretty nuts; hoping a new VP can come in above, at or near top end of that?

Wondering if folks have insight on:

- Signing Bonus (always had one working in consulting / finance)

- Bonus payout consistency

- How much you can pad total comp with shares and profit sharing

We have sales people in Canada and the US, the Canadians make 150K CAD and down here it’s 150K USD, the Canadians argue they should be making 30% more than the US colleagues to be equal bc of the exchange! I explain the salary is dependent on the market data for them in Canada, WHERE THEY LIVE, and you can’t compare it to the US employees and the market data down here. Overall they are both in the 75th% for total comp. for their industry. Am I wrong?

Got an offer from Fidelity for principal analyst position in the cyber sec team . They are offering a base of 120k along with all the other standard benefits ( like 25% bonus opportunity , 10% profit sharing etc ) . Sign on bonus is like 10k ( that is also low considering the bonus I am missing out in the current org ) …. I liked the team and position but lowballed with the compensation and i don’t think it’s big enough from what I make. Any Advise ? Isn’t this low offer?
