I live in the Midwest. I have a yard, a garden, live across the street from a park. I can still walk to bars, restaurants, grocery stores. I live in a cute 1920s brick bungalow and it cost less than 250k. Obviously NYC is incredible, but there’s more out there!

The difference between art director and artist is basically the difference between nanny and parent. You’re not free to make all the big decisions, but your instincts are generally trusted and you get paid.
This is the exact opposite of The Secret Of My Success, hope it works out.
I live in KC and grew up in the area. Great city, come on over!

Don't come here. We're out of room.

NYC is a great place to be young and poor or old and rich. (And a really fun place to be young and rich.)

Temporarily or permanently?
Go for it
Either or but probably temporarily like for a year or so

Read a Great article on how density doesn’t mean destiny and with appropriate measures in place (and people following them), experts say a city vs suburb aren’t much different in terms of safety. You can go to a suburb and all it takes is 1 person to be reckless/inconsiderate/irresponsible and spread the virus in grocery stores etc. Hospitals in small towns don’t have capacity to deal with multiple patients that require ventilators. Aside from that, suburbs and other states do have more affordable housing with larger space. Just make sure that’s what you want. NYC will get back to normal next year by this time, seems far away but time passes quickly. Rent has dropped so I’m personally considering higher end apartments for a better deal!
