Does anyone have surname in the beginning of the Aadhar Card. If yes, where do we have to give that surname in the Company onboarding forms - FirstName / LastName ?
Eg Aadhar : ABCD EFGH IJKL
Surname : ABCD
Company onboarding forms:
FirstName: EFGH MiddleName: IJKL LastName: ABCD
Would need your inputs. Infosys Accenture IBM Tata Consultancy Cognizant

Mine is a little different. Firm is a completely remote firm. I’m barred in three states but not in the state we get the most clients in. In fact 97% of our clients are from CA where I’m not barred. It can be a long term and fruitful arrangement depending on the area of law and whether or not your jrx makes a difference. For my practice area it makes no difference.
Tax
Wow, this is something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately. I’m in the market and wondering how this would work. Im so afraid of UPL-ing. So I slowed down my search for remote jobs but would love to know how people are pulling this off.
This is honestly so baffling to me. I am currently living in a jdx where I am licensed, but many of not most of my clients are not based in the same state. It’s not litigation work so idk I guess that makes it ok? Which is why I wonder if the firm will be open to me living somewhere that I’m not licensed in…
Rising Star
Yes. Currently practicing in CA and am barred in FL. I decided to move to San Diego with my wife for a change of scenery and for her master’s degree. My firm is based in LA so for them me working remote from San Diego was better than Miami so they were supportive of it and hired me. They gave me until July 2024 to be barred in CA. I am hoping by then I go in house, and if I have to take the bar it would be the attorney’s exam anyway so it’s a bit easier.
I should note I work mostly in securities so practicing in another jurisdiction is not much of an issue in the first place because it’s mostly federal law.
Is this a firm that also has a Florida office? Why couldn’t you just work for the Florida office remotely out of California? Asking because I may be in the identical situation with my wife’s residency program
I can’t tell stress enough how thankful I am that I came across this. My situation is that I’m currently licensed in Florida (and practicing at a firm doing Workers’ Comp insurance defense) but my wife needs to do a three year medical residency out of the state (though we don’t know which one yet). No idea if it’s going to be tenable to remain working at my current firm when that happens
Sounds like a sweet gig! the majority of the roles I’ve been looking at have been in CA as well. Wondering if I should just bite the bullet and take the attorneys exam. I’m in house counsel now so it would be ideal for me to find a remote role in my current state but those are very few.
Barred in Louisiana and live in Colorado.
Yes, living in TX and working in litigation for a NY based firm. Interviewed making clear I would be living outside of the state with the clear understanding I would be fully remote
Awaiting admission into TX; as I am paying NY income tax despite not living there I don’t expect it to be a long term arrangement. Firm has been supportive but technologically it cannot last. Also expect that NY courts will continue increase in person operations and it’ll become untenable
My firm is 30 years in the past; all local networks, no cloud, secretaries in their 70s…. It’s a my firm thing rather than a big picture analysis
