I have an offer from a start-up which I will be joining next week. Even though I got a hike more than 100% ( current tc: 6lpa, new tc:14lpa) and changed to sde role I am still not satisfied. Do you think women in the industry are paid lesser as compared to men.
Out of personal experience ,I can see that during compensation discussion HR person tries to convince a women candidate for a lesser package . Now this could also be the case where it is much easier to convince women to take up the job for lesser salary.
Whereas the male team member gets paid high (same YOE , same number of switch , similar prev CTC) though women are equally or more talented sometimes.

Also the ramp up period is not realistic. Average sales cycle for a reputable SaaS provider is 12-24 months. How on earth a start up can state that their ramp up period is 90 days? The company hasn’t had any new sales either. Start up CEO’s… be realistic or seek enough funding to operate.
