McKinsey & Company Hey folks!
Was wondering what sort of life sciences projects does usually the Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company take on?
Commercial, access and pricing, M&A, transformation, implementation? (all of them perhaps?)
Basically, what would someone with an LS background be mainly working on in these firms on a day-to-day basis?
Thanks!

No, not even slightly. Yoy should reach out to people at the firms, and ask to practice a case. That's how the process generally works. When you do that, yoy not only get good practice with the people who have the final judgment on if you get hired, but the network you build and the promoters you aquire help you more than any case would.
There’s a saying that the cheap comes out expensive. I chose the self-study route because I didn’t want to spend ~$1,000 in coaching sessions. By NOT getting the MBB offer, I’ve easily forgone $500K in lost income over the last 5 years.
I would say it’s a last case scenario if you can’t find anyone at the firm to practice with you or can’t find good case partners
No it’s not but some find them to be useful
I think it depends. Ask your friends/ people on this app that need practice or even people at the firm that would be willing to help. When interviewing at McK they had a few people reaching out down to run a case so I got really good practice and feedback that way

Really depends on the coach from my experience
Maybe try courses first? I liked crafting cases, they have a free course and a paid one.
There is this website called craftinh cases. They have a free week long training module. You will not need anything besides that. It’s amazing. Teaches everything from hypothese building to mece structure etc.
