Absolutely it’s less stressful.
Organic social, strategy and community management across is much more work.
Social media is 24/7, each platform has their own nuances, user behavior, nuances in content, strategy and posting strategy. Reddit is completely different from Meta/IG and TikTok and then twitter/x and Linked In and Pinterest.
Community management is basically real time customer service.
Organic search is less volatile l, doesn’t move as fast, more stable than social media. You implement something and it takes weeks to see some results.
Paid social is running ad campaigns on each platform, you are not doing community management.
My advice is paid social, you will also learn organic social as well bc they go hand in hand.
The demand is much higher than organic search therefore the pay is higher and the opportunities more numerous.
Take all the free courses each platform provides like Meta Blueprint, only the certification test is what you have to pay for all the courses are free to take.
IMO organic search is beyond optimization of webpages and content with keywords and seo tactics to rank high on the SERP, it now also includes content marketing. But with AI in search growing fast, there is less and less need for “low level”, tactical SEO/organic search work and talent. It will be more about high level strategy.
Paid social is much more fast paced, more varied bc each platform is so different and more opportunities on both the agency and brand side.
