Hi fishes! I volunteer with The Art of Good, a creative collective helping small businesses affected by the pandemic. They are seeking a little help from a media professional. Need an SEM POV for a small business looking to change their name and relaunch their brand. This is non-paid. More about giving back while in-between gigs. :) If you can help out or want to learn more, please reach out to me via LinkedIN. Thank you!! www.linkedin.com/in/karenkohn/

Dear recruiter who said you’d get back to me ASAP:

Invite them to a zoom happy hour. Just kidding. In all seriousness, they probably got a small commission for finding you, so a thank you email is fine. If you want to leave something small on their desk once you're back in the office a few months in (if they're internal) that would be a nice gesture, but not necessary. If they're external, your future business is plenty thanks.
I did an initial thank you message, and a 6 months update email to say thank you again. It's great to keep in touch for when you need to look in the future and recruiters always know each other!

Tell them to buy the finest champagne with the massive fee they got for placing you.
I sent mine flowers, but that was in office times.
