Worse if you’re a race besides black or white, nobody even notices that you’re not represented either.
Agree. The discussion is always a black or white issue and excludes Native American talent, Muslim talent, etc, etc.

Example?
OP. What a complete oversimplification. No black people in the C-suite could mean many things. It could mean it’s a company that no black people applied to. (Relatively, we don’t have a huge black population here compared to a city such as Atlanta, etc.) It could mean that the black candidates the company sought didn’t want to live in our city. (Happened to me when hiring- all the black talent I researched and found said ‘ nah, Portland is not my thing- I’m headed to a NY or Chicago.). Etc etc.
Boring and soulless in PDX.. even the rednecks in Texas we’re warmer and less racist and had personality.
I’m glad you see this. I feel it’s the PNW.
