Is it stupid to ask if the company will provide laptop/monitors, if it’s a standard 9-5, lunch an hour? Before accepting job offer

Not a stupid question - I’ve heard of a handful of companies that have bring your own device. More so on the tech & startup side vs professional services though. Just pay attention to phrasing instead of outright asking if you need to supply your own laptop

Example:
Ask HR something like “should I plan to pick up my laptop somewhere on my first day?”

+ “what time do most of the people on my team start?”

like

Who cares about start time WRT to supplying a laptop?

Think about the way you phrase it, but it is not stupid at all.

Try - As most companies have adopted a hybrid form of working, I am interested to learn about the preferred hybrid style here, and how the company supports employees while working remotely.

I inquired about company provided equipment during a job interview and I never heard back. Either way, I would not want to purchase my own equipment unless it was a good opportunity. I believe it is a very relevant question to ask.

I would assume definitely laptop (given company’s have security protocols).

Monitors may be case by case.

like

Are you going to walk away if they say laptop yes, monitor no?
I would question why do you care if i was looking to hire you.

Welcome to our pre-k inclusive classroom. Even with 8 students, and only face to face for 4 hours, we struggle. We struggle being heard through our masks. We struggle with social distancing. We struggle as we find ourselves constantly reminding students to keep their masks on. We struggle to keep them engaged and to teach. One thing we do not struggle with- building connections and showing out love for each child.
