Yes - promotions are not automatic.

Yes

Absolutely, more often than not. Many factors go into it, including but not limited to performance and need.

Yes quite possible if the firm doesn’t think someone is ready to be a senior

Yes. If the office doesn't feel you are ready you won't be promoted

What is an I3? Intern 3? Lol

L3 not I3

L3 - level 3 - experienced associate

Got it Lol

I am checking out product design courses at dribble, Brian station and careerfoundry but haven’t found more independent reviews or comparisons.

Wondering if anyone has any insight into the program (exits, etc) and how the return offer looks like in terms of salary. I still also hold an interest in data science so might go with another offer but I’m not sure if it is a wise choice to let go of a PM offer while I have it.

Pros:

- fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.

- Ashley Goodall (their SVP, Methods & Intelligence) co-authored a brilliant book on leadership and people management called “Nine Lies About Work” that makes me believe they can be an awesome place to work

Cons:

- red badgers had low morale since they’re contract workers and can be terminated at any time

Which offer should I accept? Currently staff 2 at big 4 in Tax with CPA license. I want to leave tax ASAP. Both are public companies +1B in revenue and same salary. Offer 1 - staff revenue accountant so reading contracts, speaking with the sales team and legal team, a lot of work at the end of the months to close books and reconcile transactions to make sure we are ASC 606 compliant. This track usually leads to director of revenue. Offer 2 - internal audit staff so SOX and compliance projects.
