Is it unreasonable for me to ask for a raise with a little year and half of workin at my agency? If so, how much should I ask for?

Are you in a major market? Ask for a 10% raise. Be firm. And state your case clearly - that you’d like to be compensated for the work at the level you do. Don’t make excuses for your boss or agency. Ask for a timeline if they say they’ll get back to you. “Should I circle back with you in 2 weeks?” You got this!

Also, my role has increased to covering a lot more responsibility and have been producing things above my level for sure. Great ego boost, but now I’m not feeling like I’m not compensated as such...

Sounds like your ready to go don’t waste anyone’s time if it only about money then take the job just remember there a lot of people out there looking for work.

Don’t burn bridges. If you are entertaining a job offer somewhere else, be prepared to take it. Your current agency may not match it. Also asking for a raise when you know you won’t be staying is really bad form

You know when it's the time. If you’re not feeling happy there isn’t a balance between what you do and what you get! Go for this talk if you think is now, follow your instincts.

What's your salary now?

@RGA Mid 50s right now 😅

I just found out I made it into the next round of interviews for another company. How have you guys leveraged another offer with a raise at your current job?

Yikes. $50K - what market? That was the going rate in LA in 2005

@SCP, I had asked for a raise before I realized I was getting the other offer, but I hear you. It was honestly something that fell into my lap.

Hi all. I am interviewing for a position at 1 of the MBBs. The JD said, they needed someone with 1-2 YOE. I have 2 YOE. And I came across someone who has been hired at same position right after undergrad. They can obviously do so, I cant say its right/wrong. But now I am not getting a +ve vibe, as to if I go in I'd be working with a junior at same level. If I get through to the final stage, should I ask for a raise accordingly? How should I bring this up?

Was hired into a company at a level that was more junior than my skills (Was out of work due to pandemic for a year). I’ve been at the company 5 months. We’re going through a reorg and my new position will really be leveraging my years of experience more so than other role. Is it appropriate to discuss a raise/adding senior to title? Or should I do the job and then prove myself then talk about raise. I have more experience than the senior members of my team.
