50 seems way high to me where you’d essentially have no quality.
10-20 a week sounds to me like a strong search with a full time job. I’d endeavor to spend half your time building relationships and networking versus blind applications. In practice this means likely 2/3 of applications are blind, with a strong contextualized resume. I’d probably spend 8-10 hours a week at this pace.
I hope you are not serious - 50 apps per week? How much so you spend per "target" app, an hour?
I don't think spray&pray approach works for high-valued jobs, you really need to network, showcase the value that you bring. I would aim at least 5-9 hours per app and that's a minimum:
1. Research the company and the role - 1 hour
2. Find 4-5 people on Linked to network with and send them a tailored message - 1.5-2h
3. Get a coffee chat with 1-2 who replied - 0.5-1h
4. Write tailored CL - 1-1.5 hours
5. Tailor your CV - 0.5-1.5h
6. Compete actual application on the website - 0.5-2h
There is you who's app looks like a million other and then people who put the effort above - who do you think will get a call in 99.9% of the cases? Might slightly change if you profile is absolutely ideal for a role, but then I doubt you would find more than a few roles posted like that at any one time.
Having said the above you will always find a random person who sent a speculative application to FAANG and got an interview, but the odds with this approach are definitely not in your favour.
