Umm, the beginning of the year is probably a rough time to find a job. Although some companies might’ve held off hiring somebody untill the new year. So it certainly doesn’t hurt to look to see what’s out there. Just don’t let your current employer know that you’re looking for a job until you find something.
I think it's always a good time to look for a job. The best time to look for a job is when you need one. I wouldn't wait for a specific month or season, just apply when you see positions posted.

I’ve heard yes because a lot of the job budgets reset with the new year, but also I’ve landed all of my prior jobs in Q4

Looking doesn’t mean you have to take it! Always a good time to explore options.
Best time to look for a job is whenever you have a job and not waiting until a layoff hit.

I think so! I heard that January is the best time to job hunt because budgets reset and hiring ramps up.
The beginning of the year, from January to March, is hiring season here. At least in my experience. A lot of jobs are popping up and actively hiring.
i'd wait until after bonus payouts
Good thinking.
