Is there a good resource to quickly help me learn the objections that can be made during witness testimony at trial?

6th year here and I've never a trial before. I need to get up to speed for an upcoming trial but don't know where to start!

Don’t forget compound questions

Any older/more experienced attorneys at your firm? I’ve received helpful old articles/printouts from mentors with the objections. You could also try searching for some online. I know I’ve found some helpful resources in the past online

That’s a good idea.

Oh you’re gonna wanna run some drills, bar exam style

No pre-prep, just start doing them right meow

I've always found this guide to be invaluable. Chapters are organized by type of objection and each specific objection chapter discusses how the objection should be made, responded to and the relevant federal case law pertaining to the objection. I would review the chapter headings before trial/depositions and if I anticipated particular evidentiary issue, I would brush up beforehand on the caselaw using this little book.

Thank you so much! This is exactly what I need.

Your state may have a “practice guide” that will not only provide the objections but tell you when/how to effectively make it. I have used these in the past

I love my little green objections book (FL), maybe they make one for your state? https://a.co/d/gInNfJ1

I’ve heard good things about this game too. https://objection.com

Google “trial objections cheat sheet”. Lots of good resources. Many free.

Great idea, thanks!

1) I know that most of you will say that buying an expensive engagement ring is a waste and bad, etc. so let’s start with the assumption that I don’t care and it’s happening
2) does it make sense to finance an engagement ring purchase or buy in cash? If financing, how much would you have to put down for a ~$30k ring? (If you’re upset by this number just replace ring with car or education or wedding or whatever you feel good about lol)

Looking for some fellow UK PM thoughts, please!

Work in Tech in the UK. Appraisals have started, everyone is being given a 5% raise, base, due to inflation. I'd been told I would be getting more than that to then be told it was < 2% more. Am I wrong to feel ungrateful?

For context, I've seen recruiters post about PM's with similar YoE asking for > £60k and I'm on less than 75% of that after this 'rise'. I have ~4YoE and been in this role about 18months. Business is not yet making a profit.

When a recruiter emails you at work, how do you respond? I feel like it’s stupid to use my firm email for that, but it seems like when I forward to my personal email and reply there, I never get a response?

I have a deadline to respond to a Motion for SMJ in 1 1/2 weeks. I just found out that my grandparents who I haven’t seen since the start of the pandemic will visit this week. I want to spend as much time as possible with them but it will be hard with my response due. I really don’t want to tell the Court that I am seeking an extension for personal reason, what would be a good reason to provide? I clearly don’t want to misstate anything but is there some general, vague language that can be used?
