Oh the truth...

Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?
[query] Is it a good idea to say a firm No due to medical reasons to a new night shift project I'm hired in?Accenture
I recently got a night shift project (2 days ago) that requires me to work from 10:30pm till 7:30am
I'm not comfortable with these timings and I'm thinking to ask my manager to put me on Bench (Due to medical reasons that involve mental health)
Is it a nice idea to say a firm No to a new project I'm hardlocked into, due to night shifts?

Yes, we are always supposed to be on. However, I don’t take this seriously and mostly just kind of turn up a little bit when management’s in the room. I think always having to be on or being a top performer is too exhausting for one to manage.

Yea I definitely get that same feeling. You end up learning when to really dial it up and when you can actually end up taking things more chill
I hate to say it, but I get the impression from other people in my company that they think my job is "easy" or expendable. And this gives me the unspoken pressure to always be available, always be ready to take on any task that they can give me. While I know this isn't fair or true, it's hard to let go of that pressure.

That sounds rough. Do you ever decline then, especially if you feel like you have a lot on your plate? I can't imagine it's an easy conversation to have if everyone thinks your job is easy when in actuality there's a lot of nuance to what you do
