I did about a week in Jordan and didn’t do Jerash or Aqaba/Red Sea, only did one night in Wadi Rum and only did a pitstop trip to the Dead Sea. Filling two weeks wouldn’t be that outlandish.
The culture is very stifling and unwelcoming. I spent four days in Petra and Wadi Rum, then Aqaba. The sights were great but never felt safe, and I’ve been all over the world. Couldn’t wait to get back over to Eilat in Israel.
Just went to Dubai (second time) and was supposed to go to Jordan too but had to get back to work. If you do Dubai, it’s very Star Wars-esque IMO everything there is larger than life. Really pretty, lots of places to go and do if you like the high life. It just is such a big place, hard to explore it all even if I had 2 weeks. Also v pricey
Appreciate the note, thank you
Same thought as above - have never felt more unwelcome than I did in Jordan (and I’ve been to 60+ countries). Yes I was a solo female, but I was treated like garbage and genuinely afraid for my safety at multiple points. I did Petra and Wadi Rum in 2 days and left early to go back to Eilat where I felt like an actual human being.
