It is primary season here in the United States. We have had some primaries, and there are some more to come. Do you get involved with politics as far as trying to get a candidate that will have some changes made in the medical arena, or do you stay out of it? I'd like to know your thoughts.

I've gotten involved with politics at times, volunteering with campaigns going back to college. I don't do it specifically because of issues related to the healthcare industry, though that's one of the issues I care about. We're probably still a long time away from getting enough people in office to reform the US healthcare system.

That’s just plain wrong!

To the traveling nurse, I feel for you. I've not been fired, but you have to walk on pins and needles all the time for sure.

Unfortunately, lobbyist groups are to powerful and there is to much financial gain in the business of illness, chronic conditions and emergency care. Our cost are rising at the palaces of service and in the cost of Insurance itself. Many cases "self-pay" is the better option. It's the hard unfortunate truth.

I stay aware but not deeply involved. I focus more on what I can control in my day to day work.

I have never been as politically involved as I am right now. I am terrified by the misinformation coming from our own government and the extreme harm that I am watching it do, along with cut to programs that people rely on for receiving medical care. I care too much about others to not do as much as I can.

3 Things to keep in mind which changing jobs:
1. Always ask dedicated budget for the job before you tell your expectations.

2. Always have atleast 2 weeks of gap before you join any company. You might not understand significance of that but just have a gap.

3. Always talk to people of team you will be joining before you accept offer or atleast before you join company.
