It seems like there are a ton of companies who continuously interview candidates for roles but never seem to actually fill them. To those teams, does this get exhausting? I’m guessing there’s some budgetary block to actually filling the spot, but it has to feel like a huge waste of time to do these for potentially no reason.

Is it worth it to go back to school for a better track to a FAANG company? The division I’m currently in seems like there are no good opportunities, and I have the funds available to finish my undergraduate full time (Canada). I applied to Amazon before for a highly senior position and made it to final interview so I think I would have a better chance for a new grad type role.

When applying for a job, what is the strategy when a firm asks you for your compensation requirements? I don’t want to be unrealistic, but I don’t want to sell myself short either.

Any tips on how to get started on prepping for VC interviews

I’m interviewing for a marketing manager role at a company based in SF. I’m genuinely excited about the role and the company but we’ve yet to discuss salary. I expect to be asked at some point, but my research has given me a VERY broad range. So I’m here to do a bit more research. I’ve got 5 very relevant years of experience and will have an associate manager directly reporting to me. Is there any advantage to telling a company you are interested in working for in the future where you decided to accept an offer from? Or does it not matter? I accepted an offer a week ago with a great company (Company A) that for this season in my life seems like a great fit and only strengthens what I have to offer company B down the road. Company B just sent me a request for interview and I want to keep the door open with Company B but they were just very late in extending an interview.
