Absolutely. That's why I'm looking for a job right now. I've started to recognize that starting over at a new company will pay off more than trying to get a raise at my current one. It's really not fair. Why is loyalty not important anymore?

I understand entirely, and I’m actually looking for a new job as well! I’ve even considered easing out of the healthcare field entirely, just not sure where I want to go.
That's the way it goes these days. Organizations offer higher pay to new arrivals, it's the way they can bring in new blood. It's such a common scenario that economists have given it a name, wage inversion.

New hire? What is another definition for new hire? Experienced, skilled, knowledgeable, transferred from another job? Industry? Also, Why not to join or create Unions ? OR rally for changes,? Personal hostility ?

All (or none) of the above. I’ve seen it all over the last couple years. I need more than just me to rally for changes and nobody in my area seems willing enough to put that much effort into it considering there’d likely be no change.
