I’ve experienced this. I was like there’s a nurse demand??? Cuz, where????!! No calls and soooo many resumes put out. I did a full re-haul design of my resume with a more key-word grabbing “about me” section and I guess it woke up the algorithms because I started getting calls. Good luck. It is not easy out here.

Oh my gosh ! I really think that people just don’t wanna pay us, but we deserve
The last quarter of the year is usually hard to find a permanent job because companies are trying to meet certain financial metrics for shareholders. You can find temporary work because companies still need to cover shifts, especially holidays, when they're short staffed. Hang in there and it should be easier after the end of the year.

Yeah, I’ve heard this many of times as well. I’m sure if you applied to a Nursing Home they’ll call you the same day. They are in dire need of nurses in medical staff. How sad nobody wants to work there. I know I don’t. I feel bad for the patient.
Home health is always hiring.
If youre applying at big facilities or corp, try to apply the day they post the job or by the day after. That means stalking the websites daily and having your materials ready to apply the moment you see something. Find internal employees to connect with who could help boost your application to the front of the pile by providing an internal referral. You might be able to find people through LinkedIn that you didnt realize you knew or a friend of a friend at certain places. Good luck!
By all accounts the job market is pretty bad. A lot of organizations just can't get a fix on what's happening with the economy. And with that kind of uncertainty they're just hesitant to hire anyone. All anyone can do is stay persistent and be ready when things turn around.
I feel black balled bc I was injured while passing meds . A flying fully loaded food cart knocked me over . I eventually left on return bc I could feel management found fault everything I was doing .

That’s just wrong wow I hope you’re doing better. That’s awful.
Are you looking for Hospital, Nursing Home, or Home Care? Hospital: I used to work for recruitment. Try going on any hospital website under nursing. If you have specialties outline that in your resume. Are you a Pedi-Nurse? Most big hospitals are always looking for RNs, and LPNs.
If you’re looking for a Facility IE nursing homes. You can go to any Facility they are constantly looking and you will get benefits. You can also seek out home care. VNA, is a great place to work. You can look at agencies too. I used to work for Interim Healthcare and they are always looking for Nurses. Keep Positive!!!
Yes to all of the above. I stalked the hospital websites when I was looking a few years back and found a lot of interviews and a job that way. I worked as an aide in a nursing home before I became a nurse and was quickly turned off and didn’t even look there after graduating. I know nursing is completely different than being an aide but still, it was not for me. The best job I found was through word of mouth at a home care company. It’s always nice to know someone who works there and can talk you up. I applied, interviewed and was hired within days. But that was about 5 years ago.
Hey where are you located ?
Contact the company’s directly. That’s what we did in the old days. This new way of applying for jobs is impersonal and applications probably get lost in the herd, so stand out from the herd.
Hate to say it but times have changed. Many postings don’t even have the company names mentioned and when they are mentioned they say “no calls” which I think cuts out direct contact. Also when you go to company websites they say “apply online”. I’d say the best way is networking and having friends/family put in a word to get that resume to the top of the pile. Good luck to all.
It's nutso crazy out there. First day on job (HH) that went from full time in interview to per diem, to you want to do marketing to, 'let me see if one of the marketers can let you go out with them.' I had to jump thru hoops for this job and I have lots of experience. Keep going cuz that's all we can do!
