I’ve been applying for jobs which would be considered a step up in my career, however I keep getting overlooked for them. Is there anything I can do to prove to recruiters that I’m capable of stepping up?

Make sure the language on your resume shows your advancement and skills. A cover letter also can be used to be like these are the things I am doing to better myself so I fit the role.

Thanks for the feedback. What sort of language would that be that you've referred to?

it’s the “step up” part that makes the difference. you need to make sure your resume and/or cover letter communicate in the right terms that you’re actually already at that level.

the more i hear about AI screening being used by HR departments, the more important it is to align your description of past responsibilities with any unique terminology used in the job description. don’t rely on how you’ve explained your experience before. make sure you use the target company’s own language to sell yourself

helpful

I appreciate the response. I'll need to completely change my resume for each application in that case then. Not a problem

Experiencing the same and it’s just the market right now. Since there are ppl at that level with experience also applying it’s just hard to break through even at the lower salary range.

How long does Synechron take to release offer after final interview?

The normalization of "on hold" by the usual suspects. Had 6 interviews in past 4 months with D_itte Get the verbal offer from HR. Yay. Fast forward to following Monday. Get thanked for my complimentary followup sent post-final interview. 48hrs later, same recruiter (on speakerphone) tells me job is now hold and "you must be upset" and good luck in your search.

Tacky AF. Tell me I was rejected by the shadowy 5-person board or it was given to someone who wanted less. Just not this b.s.

Would love to get insight from folks here as I’m not quite sure what to do. I currently have around 14K in student loan debt and enough saved up to pay it off in one fell swoop. What I’m struggling with is whether I should invest that money into the stock market (thinking less risky S&P 500 ETF) and pay off my student loans monthly with the average payment being around 1000 so I can pay it off in about 16-18 months (due to interest being around 5%) or pay it off all in one go?

Out of curiosity. How would a company view a potential candidate who has a period of unemployment to study for the CPA. I am considering to start studying for the exam but I know I would need to leave my employer in order to give 110%. I am contemplating the idea of at least passing one part while employed. Then leaving my employer to study FAR. I am considering to leave my current employer anyways, so it’s more of how my future employer would view that lapse.
