I’ve been in clinical operations for 7 years and finally made the leap to Associate Director. Everyone keeps saying “congrats,” but honestly? It feels anticlimactic. Same workload, same pressure, just more meetings and marginally more pay. Is this just what moving up looks like, or did I get shortchanged?

How much are you making ?

I’ve heard from others in the industry AD is basically being a sr manager with increased responsibilities and a marginal pay bump from sr mgr to AD. Ideally you just skip AD and go from sr mgr to director if possible haha. Curious what is your pay and company?

I just started a new job 2 months ago, benefits and PTO don’t start until 90 days in so I still have a month before I can take off any time, and today found out my company doesn’t offer paid maternity leave.
I’m really struggling handling the symptoms and maintaining my full time job. Thinking about looking for a part time job to have more time to myself through the pregnancy since I won’t be getting a paid leave anyways, but lost on where to start looking. Any recommendations?

Is there any possible way to salvage a job opportunity after realizing the range you quoted is way below average compensation? 🤔

Hello, I recently was reached out to by an in-house recruiter at a similar but slightly different company than the one I currently work for. The recruiter provided a base range and an OTE range. The lower end of that range is what I am currently making. The higher end of that range is almost 200k more than my current comp. The role is almost identical. I wasn’t looking to move, but that higher end range would set my family up very nicely for our goals. But I am happy at my current company. Help?

I accepted a $115K base salary, 13% bonus, 10k sign on bonus (scientist supervisor) job and two weeks later, got a $135K base, 17% bonus, and 15K sign on bonus (Senior scientist role) offer from another company. Should I accept the new offer ? How do I tell the previous company about this? Also, I’ve already negotiated with the first company and the $115K base is the negotiated salary. I really do not prefer one company over the other. They’re both great! I’m very confused here. TIA🙏
