I've been reading about all the PLSF changes making people move towards opting for roles in government or other qualifying sectors instead of the career paths they were initially planning on treading. What sectors fall under 'qualifying' for payment plans now? Do you plan to make such shifts to help with your debts?

I guess the qualify sectors are usually govt organisation, public health and public education mainly. Sadly, i won't be able to shift careers as easily so no.. but I do know a lot of people who are doing this just so they can continue to qualify for debt relief programs. It's sad what the reality for a lot of us is today.

I thought that was always how PSLF was set up? Government or public sector jobs? Anybody have more insight into the changes? Current climate aside, if I had it all to do over again, I’d definitely focus more on my repayment options. I lacked a solid payback plan for sure.

Im starting a new job but still employed somewhere else. I was trying to be open about staying at BOTH places. My current job won’t let me be part time because they don’t allow “set schedules”. Yet I am one of the only reliable and loyal employees in the department, and currently working a set schedule. So why will they not let me continue a set schedule but with different hours? This place is more focused on strict policies and not actually trying to work their employees and being flexible.

Random question for anyone who has ever exchanged/gotten a replacement away travel suitcase. Is there any flexibility to get a different color? My interior zipper broke and I stopped in a store to ask if they do repairs and they said to bring it in and they’ll just replace it. I wouldn’t hate switching the color but feel weird asking for some reason

Additional Posts in Student Loans

Has anyone refinanced their student loans on h1b visa? Is common bond the only option?

Curious to know how much your student loans were when you graduated from your program, how much you’ve paid off so far, and your age. If you have any varying factors too, like kids, income range, etc. Just trying to see if I’m on track or slacking in life. I am 34 yo, i graduated with 95k in student loans, i currently have 85k left and i make 85k in come. I’m also a single mom with two kids. Just praying for 100% student loans forgiveness. Wishful thinking???
