I’ve been with my job for 2.5 years and they just gave me a 2 year anniversary pin. Does your workplace do anything like this?

No, we don't do anything like that. I like that idea, it's kind of old school, I remember relatives of mine had tie pins that commemorated work anniversaries. Of course, that was when people would work for one company for decades.

It does seem old school, doesn’t it?

We celebrate milestones like this with team lunches or happy hours. Nothing official from the company, just all of us celebrating each other. Personally I'd be insulted if I got a pin from my clinic though, I'd rather have a raise!

Yeah the pin is kind of just another piece of trash/clutter in my opinion.

That's really sweet for 2 years

We get a slide on the TV showing how long each of us has been here for each anniversary month.

BE grateful….

No and I've been there for 5 years

Our company gives annual recognition to all employees in the form of a $1,500 holiday bonus. We are a small company. If they wanted to appreciate you, they would!!

Yes I have had jobs that have recognized my service anniversary

Only mention I got for 1 year anniversary was an email from the “Team Store” giving me a $25 certificate to use to buy company gear in the store. Then I find out they do not do annual reviews/merit increases, rather they do a company wide Review with “annual” increase. Means I will work 18
Months with no review and no increase. Yep, I’m looking….

I’ve never been acknowledged for years of service and don’t care. Other than my 2.5% yearly. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I prefer it that way

We used to get really nice, small gold pins with the hospital logo and gemstones in them for the anniversary starting with 5 years which has a tiny sapphire. 10 years has two sapphires, etc. I got all the way up to 20 years, which is 2 small rubies and a diamond between them. When I got to 25 years, they switched to a big, clunky, square, cheap metal thing with "25" on it that I think is supposed to go on the thing that holds your badge. That one is in a drawer at home and the others are on my lanyard that my badge hangs from. I also get raises, and on my 25th, Ii got to pick something from a book. I got a chainsaw 😀

Yes, they do, and I appreciate everything they do for employees, including performance evaluations and commensurate increases. My last job didn't acknowledge $&*! and didn't give raises either.

We get points toward a gift. It’s great!

Three Months back, I gave interview for Infy and got selected after that I got one offer from another company with very good pay so, I have to tell infy that I will not be joining. The same thing happened for me in 2018, Initially I gave Interview for infy got offer from them after that I joined in TCS. If I reject the offer now, will they black mark my profile by not allowing me to join in future. Also, what I can tell them for offer rejection. Thanks.

It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for. I would appreciate any input!!!!
