I’ve come across roles that are interesting but not a clear step up, more of a lateral move with slightly different exposure or even a light step down based on title. If I have a few lateral moves, do they strengthen a profile over time, or can they raise questions about direction and progression?

Imo a lot can be a red flag but a couple over the years or early in your career just shows natural and normal pivoting. Some people fall into an field they like/tolerate immediately, some don't.

True, thanks

Are you a “Prodigious Accumulator of Wealth”?

N = 10% x (Your Age) x (Your Salary)

If your net worth is 0.5N or less then you are an under accumulator; around 1.0N then you average; 2.0N or greater then you are prodigious.

This is the millionaire next door formula.

Thanks!

Curious if anyone else is or has been in the same boat. I started as an assistant at an entertainment law firm prior to passing the bar. Upon passing, the partner told me they would hire an assistant for me since I now became an associate. That was 1.5 years ago and I am still in the limbo of juggling my own workload + doing assistant roles for my supervisors. I have also had no increase in pay, which is a huge deal for me. Is this normal in the entertainment world? Any suggestions?
