Any ideas on the pay range for the US Regional Meetings Lead Amgen? I’ve been agency based for quite a long time. I have worked with Amgen previously, currently serving another pharma, but looking to make the leap to the client side. Trying to see if the pay would be worth it at this juncture.

What titles are you targeting? If Director and above, you are competing with big pharma laid off pool and lateral moves from other biopharma.

*If Manager and above you’re competing with laid off pool, laterals, and other consultants trying to exit.
It is a TERRIBLE market but it is possible to get something like I did if you’re lucky and find a job description well aligned to your experience. (Got 2 interviews and 1 offer out of some 60 applications)
You and everyone else lol. I recently jumped ship to a mid-size pharma and I will say it’s highly competitive for any of these roles, not just from other consultants looking to jump to industry but also from internal folks + other industry folks laid off elsewhere
My best advice would be to find your niche, specifically look for companies and roles that fill that niche, and apply quickly as soon as a role pops up.

Market is brutal right now, sorry. We’re all dealing with it.
It’s possible since you have a PharmD, but It’s a really bad market. I am MBB with an advanced degree and consistently hit a wall with big pharma. It took many months of searching before I finally landed a great AD offer with a smaller pharma.
I’m happy, but a few years ago I had a big pharma SM offer in hand and decided to go to MBB. The market has dramatically shifted.
I managed but via my network, someone who vouches for me knows the hiring manager very well, any further and it gets harder. My blind applications even with an employee referral were rejections. It is tough there ((
SM would be appropriate, perhaps AD at a smaller co
I also got SM with 4 YOE + advanced degree just recently. I know other people who were 5+ YOE that got D. Definitely a lot of competition on the market
I’ve also applied to dozens of roles and barely heard back. One recruiter told me pharma often prefers people with prior industry titles, even if our consulting experience is more strategic. I’m now trying to pivot into an internal strategy role first as a bridge.
