I've got headshots coming up for work next week, and I'm a little stumped on what to wear. You know, everyone always says "black or navy," which is fine, but I'm wondering if I should mix it up. My office is small and business casual. Do you have any tips on colors that might look good on camera, or maybe advice on necklines or fabrics that photograph well? I'm hoping to look professional but also show a bit of my personality if that makes sense.

Is buying a used, low mileage Maserati Ghibli really that bad?? Not paying that premium msrp and being able to capitalize on the depreciation seems like a win and they are fun to drive imo

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I keep starting huge projects or hobbies and being intensely into it for about 10 days/2 weeks, after which I forget about it and the project just lays around my house for months until I get interested in it again or I toss it out/donate it. It was fine when I was living alone but my partner is seriously frustrated with how messy the house gets and how much I spend on supplies for these things. See a lot of people slamming their “big firm” experience and wanting to move on from it. I’ve got 2YOE but not at a big firm and can’t help feeing I’m missing out on something (name brand, skills, network etc). Is it better not to chase it and go somewhere else (tech / startups etc) rather than trying to get in at entry level ?
