Hello All,
I have recently joined FIS Global around end of April. My mother recently met with an accident and she needs to be operated.
I haven't been able to update the anything regarding the insurance part yet on FIS portal.
Will my mother's treatment be covered under the insurance? If yes, what's the procedure for the same? What are the documents that I need to submit in order to claim the amount?
Can anyone please guide?

It’s really hard at times but I started coming home and doing nothing at all but relax, watch TV and try not to think about anything else
I leave school at school - I don’t bring work home unless it’s something fun that really gets me excited. I never stay later than 30 minutes after contract hours. If there’s something extra put on my plate I ask my district for work time during the school day. If they don’t give it to me it gets done slowly when I have time after alllll my priorities. I work my BUTT off from 8:30 to 4 and it’s exhausting but outside those hours I live my life and leave my job at school. REMEMBER: you are completely replaceable as a teacher but you are not replaceable at home and to your family. I repeat this to myself often to remind myself where I’m needed most!

Having the knowledge that I’ll be retiring in June, if not earlier. It helps having the light at the end of the tunnel.

I’m so happy for you. Congratulations 🎉🎈🍾
I think you have to leave work at work and focus on living life when you're not in school. It's the only way to survive.
Looking forward to the weekend, when I can unwind and focus on some of my old hobbies. Actually sleep.
Not gonna lie, it's getting tiring this year. It isn't the worst year, I'm just exhausted by the end of every day. I feel ready to pivot to something else.

Me too! I’m with you on that @ NYM

Burnout is definitely relevant. I think teachers do not feel supported. I also don't have many people asking "what do you need" or "how can I help you". It's those things that could help. We're only humans after all.

While I’ve been retired now for almost two years, I can tell you that I felt burn out the last five years that I was in the classroom. Two things would have made my situation better…I didn’t need ego stroking often, but a pat on the back from principals and parents every once in a while would have made me feel more appreciated. The second thing that would have helped with the burn out is if my district honored/enforced the rules and policies it created. They expect teachers to do this, but no backup could be found the parents became irate which made teachers look bad. I ended up enjoying my last several years with the attitude of I will do what I know is right for my students.
Looking for counseling/therapy ASAP is how I'm dealing with it

While I value counseling and have done it myself, the bottom line is that there is no life, work life balance anymore. Until districts are forced to stop implementing a millions different strategies and programs at a time, teachers will not feel any relief. May I suggest that you talk with your principal and simple tell him/her that something has to give. My principal worked with me. I simply told him I couldn’t do everything the district was asking of me anymore. With more complicated IEP’s, GIEP’s, 504’s, and ILP’s, daily reporting, behavior charts, checking agenda books, and gathering work for increasing absences, I had to let things go. He made modifications of inservice days so that we could work in our rooms, canceling ridiculous meetings that could be addressed in an email, and finally, for me, he let me leave when the kids did because I came early everyday, he made it more bearable to actually get my work done where it belongs; at school. It made a big difference.
Set boundaries and do things that make you happy on your off days and know your only going to get so much done during the day and what you don’t get done oh well
I may actually break down and get professional help, it's gotten that bad.
