I've started a new job about 6 months ago, and I just saw a new job in a team I'm really interested in come up. I don't think I'll get the role, but i want to know what it's like to go through the hiring process and its one that i want to do in the near future. How should I approach this? Should I be transparent with my manager and the hiring manager to say im applying for the experience?

I'm worried my manager will hold it against me, cos I've just started this new job and seems like I want to leave already

Absolutely go for elevation and growth .The main thing is not to stay stagnant in one place when you want to pursue career growth and elevation.

First, why you think you’re not going to get the role?
If you know you qualify for the role… go for it!

I would first check the employee handbook to see if there are any rules around this. Sometimes you need to be in a role for a certain amount of time to be able to transfer to a different department.

Yes, be transparent. Express genuine interest and detail why you’d be a good fit for the role. Highlight skills and past experiences. Explain how you handled difficult situations in past that are similar to ones that may arise in this new role.

Hi Fishes,
I got offer from persistent with 31lpa.
But most of the compensation they added into skill bonus-1400000. Due to that my basic salary is low- 50k as compared to my cctc basic salary, which is 63k with 19.5lpa.
Is it normally happening with everyone joining to persistent?
Can Persistent increase basic salary component and reduce the skill bouns?
I asked hr to increase my basic, but she mentioned that it’s system generated and standard format, vary cmpny to cmpny.
Plz help me out guys.

I've never worked on anything for TikTok and hope I never have to. TikTok is from hell. I was on it one time for about 10 minutes and could feel myself becoming mentally unwell in just those 10 minutes. The human brain is not designed to deal with the sheer amount of sensory overload that app gives you. I'm pretty sure TikTok is one of the main reasons we are constantly hearing about how much Gen Z struggles with mental health.

How would you handle not getting a lunch break when you are a salaried employee treating patients for 40 hours a week? I don’t get documentation time either, but all notes are to be completed the same day. Some of us have reached out to HR and we’re told to discuss it with the regional director, but the regional director says we’d have to come in early or leave late to block out a lunch break. My commute is an hour each way, so I’d prefer not to make my day any longer. Advice?

So I had been working as medical interpreter up to the early part of this year. Today, during an interview, the Director with whom I was interviewing genuinely urged me to consider pursuing a career as a PA or even attempt to go to medical school. I had considered it in passing before but today was about the third or fourth time that someone had earnestly nudged me in that direction. Has anyone here made such a career pivot before? I love working in healthcare, there’s nothing like it.
