Very briefly did non-profit so I can’t say that I would have faced much if there was. I would think it would be harder to go the other way around. Face a lot of hurdles in the nonprofit world that would be foreign in corporate. I think it is a great way to show off your unique skills that many don’t consider, just make the case for how they work in the different landscape.

Oh I like this. Thank you for that feedback. I’ll work these ideas into my resume.
I worked in non profit and corporate and it’s my experience that non-profit is way softer than corporate. Be ready to deal with work stress related to the volume of work, burnout and the politics. If you’re younger, go for it, otherwise stay at the nonprofit if work-life balance and better mental and physical health is the priority

INTERESTING. Hmm. I have thoughts for sure. I do agree that the non-profit space is much more slower paced. I have seen friends move over to the corporate space and they are under a lot more stress. Facing a lot of burnout for sure.
I got burnt out in the non-profit realm. It’s the same (if not more) amount of drama and stress as the for-profit sector. It was definitely not a grass-is-greener situation for me. To be honest, I prefer the for-profit world, because if I’m going to be stressed and working challenging hours, I’d rather being doing it with more money in my pockets, not less.
