Anybody have insight into ballpark salary range for Director level pay at Microsoft in a non-engineering role? I understand there’s probably varying degrees based upon org/function, as well as location. Just assuming Remote work, what would salary/bonus/stocks look like? Or just TC in general?

What is with this obsession some people have with making everyone work in an office? So annoying. I'm guessing thoughtworks won't give you another client? It's a bummer the company won't stand up for you, but companies aren't the best at treating employees like people these days. Was it in your job contract that you can work from home? Maybe there is something legally you can do?
Best of luck 😂 with Indian client

Yes Indian work culture is more about quantity than quality.
Sounds like bait and switch. I'm so sorry that happened. Did you have any idea before accepting the position that there was the potential for getting a client that requires in office work? Or were you told you would be working from home? I would be pissed, especially if you have a family member who relies on you for care.
That's lousy. But these companies will push and get away with as much as they can get away with. Making you go into an office that much when you didn't sign on for it is awful. If you need to work, I guess you have to go along with it, especially if your complaints fell on deaf ears. But it's not right.
This company being wholly VC owned only cares only for profit now. Employees have a choice to either accept unreasonable conditions or be fired. During my time there, I was told to accept project demands or there `wouldn't be another project inline` frequently. Best thing I did was leave this company.
