Thoughts on a Omega De Ville Prestige as a first luxury watch? Would be ~$7.5K USD at retail. Some friends have said great things about Omega as a starter, whereas others say it’s not worth it over a Rolex Oyster Perpetual (which would be similar in cost).
I personally love how clean the design is, the use of gold, and the thinner band as it links the watch … find the Rolex band design to be too chunky.

I feel this so much. My family is always asking me for rides and help with things during the week because "you don't have to go to work." 🫤
The worst is when I meet someone new and tell them I freelance, then they ask what I’m working on — and if I happen to be in between projects then I have to say “nothing at the moment” and I look like I don’t have a job 😂
I hear what you mean about feeling invisible. I think part of it too, is because your freelance and you work from home it’s a one to punch. You’re not connected to one group of people or one certain routine it’s always changing so that can make you feel a bit untethered. And tie that to working from home it just makes me feel like I’m this little satellite, floating all by myself not connected to anyone. And it’s weird because the days flyby but you think oh my goodness I didn’t leave my home this week and where did the time go?

I WFH too but I would’ve played that much differently.
Should’ve told them you have a trust fund. That would’ve really pissed them off ; )
I met this dude who was the dad of one of my kid’s classmates. The guy drove a 100k car, lived in a 2 million dollar home and yet seemed to be at every PTA meeting, volunteered at the school and helped in the classroom twice per week, and seemed to have allá the time and the money. One day at a playdate I asked him what he did for a living. He just said he was “an investor”.
I sometimes do , but hey it’s none of their business mainly , just do you !!!!
