Unless you have 3 or more stints of 1 year or less, I wouldn’t worry about it. What’s most important is that you have a good reason for any short stints.

How long were you at your prior firm? One short stint can be explained, it’s more than one that looks like you’re maybe a problem/risk.
Lol 3 years is not short what
You are fine! I did this exact thing and was hired at another firm.
1 year
You get 1 quick jump. Otherwise you want at least a 3.5 year average tenure
Yea it is. It just isn’t the primary consideration it’s lower in the stack. Not being jumpy matters. However “all else being perfectly equal” doesn’t exist.
Set differently, there is no hiring manager who prefers a jumpy candidate with low job tenure that doesn’t exist. That person might still get hired in spite of their jumpiness, but it is not because of their jumpiness.
Also, not in big law that moving with a partner is not typically considered a move same for moving with a group. The story matters.
I was on an extremely toxic team and saw others come and go within 12-14 months. I saw this happen three times.
I am just did this, got multiples V10 interviews and am going to a V10. You’ll be fine!
