My job application status says shortlisted in Mindtree Portal after 3 round of technical interviews. The recruiter told me he will send an invite for the HR round (10-15 days back) But i am yet to receive any information from them.
Can someone from #Mindtree help me understand what process they follow for recruitment?
All the rounds are completed a month back and last week HR called and said there is a global freeze and would not be able to take immediately and asked if i am interested to wait for 2 months and further technical interviews are not needed is what she said...Is really the hiring stopped ? No. Why? That person went the extra mile to customize a photo with the brand they are excited about... why are you being judgy?
I'd kill for a candidate that excited to work on the brand.
To clarify, I’m not being “judgy.” I’m legitimately asking a forum’s opinion. It caught my eye as interesting and found it different enough to ask if it was odd. Appreciate the response.
I’d hire them for their moxie then immediately fire them before that moxie gets out of control
It feels smart. It probably didn’t take them much time to do and made them stand out.
It's a bit weird but the intent is admirable. Unless there's other red flags I'd interpret it as they probably intended, which is enthusiasm.
Photos of candidates on resumes are not a good trend, because they raise the risk of unconscious bias. Some companies discourage them. Yes, you can look for the candidate’s photo on LinkedIn, but unless you’re hiring a model or actor, it’s best not to let a photo of them be a hiring factor.
Does it tell you anything about their ability to do the job? Are you negatively impacting a minority candidate who would hesitate to put their photo on their resume because they fear discrimination?

Self-Photos on CVs are more commonplace/standard in some countries ex-USA. Just throwing that out there to consider.
