Hi! Excited we have a space finally :)
Anyone have experience working CWX side of Facebook (Meta) ? These are the full time contract roles that potentially turn into permanent roles directly with Facebook (Meta). Had a recruiter reach out and offering me comparable TC and such, just curious if anyone has experience in these roles and success/failure of transitioning into permanent role. Thanks in advance!

I’ve been preparing for years now. Even when times are good, you never know what will happen to your job.
Have a current list of just-in-case resources, food banks, local job seekers help, and know how unemployment works. Understand your bills, you could set up a payment plan, temporarily lower your bills, that kind of thing, also when that disconnect date is. Savings, plan to have at least a few months of bare basic costs covered. This is when bad goes to worse, but I’d rather be ready for that than pretend it can never happen.

I already prepared and just over a year later all of my options are gone and my savings. People need to stop spending, live frugally and make sure they have 5 years worth of expenses. There are people like me who haven't recovered from the great recession, and this is gearing up to be worse. Once the banks seize on housing, taking the equity, your wealth is gone and it doesn't come back and you can't rebuild when your credit is destroyed. If you're young and have support its possible.

America cannot innovate with so many Americans tied up in 9-5 corporate culture. Freeing us of this bondage is where America will have its second empire - average workers like you and me will innovate and invent to survive.
2023 and 2024 folks were complaining about all the ghost postings - jobs that were posted that didn’t go anywhere. The jobs available vs jobs being filled were drastically different.
I personally think that with the change of the American top leadership, companies hiring in America just removed all the ghost postings.
In short, someone is playing with the real numbers.

I would not be surprised. Especially as more and more point toward the AI bubble, I’m certain we are all going to face some impacts starting next year.
2026 will be an escalation as consumer sentiment continues to tank, companies will focus even more on cost cutting
