attract kids too? At what point do we say enough with Columbus’ woke BS? Im a democrat btw, but this kind of stuff annoys me. Alcohol is the worst most addictive drug ever to exist. The drinking age is 21 so I don’t see the difference in selling flavored vape pens to 21 year olds. And my god, cigarettes are still legal 😂 the vape pens I buy are FDA, and literally water vapor and nicotine juice with flavor. Not the 1000s of chemicals in cigarettes.
I get it that you're upset, but I fully support the ban. It's terrifying to see what vaping can do to kids' lungs. They're not old enough to appreciate the danger, and with vaping being so new, idk that we really understand the long-term impact of vaping on the human body.
I think your vaping and drinking analogy is inaccurate. Studies have shown that each new generation drinks less. Kids aren't as interested in liquor as they are in vaping. Plus alcohol is a known entity. We have tons of controls in place to make it harder for people under 21 to gain access to it. These controls aren't perfect, but they're in place, and there's mechanisms to punish people when those controls fail.
I didn't say that I thought drinking or smoking Marijuana was cool or whatever. This is the second time someone has tried to add additional meaning to my post in this thread.
There's studies that show that vaping causes nickle buildup in your lungs, so it is still dangerous but I will admit that it appears to be safer than cigarettes. But that's like saying a handgun is safer than a grenade. At the end of the day, all that matters is steps are being taken to protect children. I'm all for that.
As an adult, you are (in theory) better able to appreciate the risks and determine if they outweigh the rewards. A teenager isn't able to make those same decisions.
