assuming most teams try to keep their best players (including QBs) then Brees is going to be important to keep in a 2 QB league
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Good luck to you as well
2nd round price tag for golladay is steep, but will there be many good players available in the draft at all?
Yeah most good players will be available, see my response to the comment above about the keeper rules, but basically teams keep players based on the skill of the player and cost to keep them, not just keeping the best players. My thinking on Golladay was that he might be a top 25-30 pick so it might not make a ton of sense to keep him in the 2nd round since I could likely draft him there if I chose, but idk my draft slot yet so my 2nd round pick could be #11 (due to snaking draft, if I was to get the 10th draft slot) so Golladay might not be the best use of the 11th pick
I’d say Ridley in the 8th is a no brainer. Stafford is probably worth it based on projected draft pick of 121 in a non - 2 QB league, but you would know better how fast QBs go. I’d probably keep mattison, but again, you would know how the draft plays out better than me in the 10th round.
That’s the 2 I like!
Considering a second round pick is essentially a 4th or later in redraft leagues, I would keep Golladay, Ridley and Stafford. They could be your QB2, RB2 and WR2. If you can make Ridley your flex, you a winner. This strategy requires investing in some high upside sleepers in late rounds and sitting on them.
